With the Government intent on rebuilding public confidence in fire safety, the draft Building Safety Bill, published in July 2020, brings forward changes designed to improve building and fire safety to make people feel safer in their homes.
This includes the introduction of the new Building Safety Regulator, which will oversee the safe design, construction and occupation of high-risk buildings, including high-rise. It also supports the new requirement for a ‘golden thread’ of vital information, which was outlined in the Hackitt Review.
These changes can appear complex for the industry and with a number of new requirements, we’re hosting a webinar to support organisations in understanding their obligations as a Duty Holder.
Join us on 27 November at 10:00am for a live webinar hosted by Andy Lowe, training and technical director at Bureau Veritas. Topics include:
• The Draft Building Safety Bill
• The new ‘three gateway’ process
• Accountable Person and Building Safety Manager

• Transitional arrangements and timings
• How Bureau Veritas can support
