With the Building Safety Bill now published, we have more clarity on the changes that are set to be implemented in the coming months. Comprising a total of 53 recommendations to drive cultural change and improve the safety of tall buildings, it’s a comprehensive document. That’s why we’re hosting a new webinar to help you understand the implications.
The upcoming Building Safety Bill will establish a new building safety regime in England, following recommendations set out in the Hackitt Review. As many in the industry will be aware, three gateways are set to be introduced to enhance fire safety in tall residential buildings and each gateway must be signed off by the new building safety regulator before moving on to the next.
The first changes already apply, with the introduction of Gateway One (Planning) through amendments to existing planning legislation. Further changes will be introduced as the Bill passes through Parliament.
Join Andy Lowe, Director of Building Control at Bureau Veritas, on Wednesday 15 September at 12:00-13:00 who will exploring the detail of the Building Safety Bill and setting out what you need to do now, and in the future, to ensure safety and maintain compliance.
