A series of changes will shortly be introduced to the Building Regulations, collectively aimed at improving the efficiency of our buildings and the quality of air.
These include stepping stones to the new Future Homes Standard (Part L and Part F), a new Approved Document Part O on overheating and a new Part S to reflect the increase in electric vehicle charging facilities.
We’re hosting a series of five webinars exploring the changes. The fourth webinar will look at the new Approved Document O on overheating.
The new Approved Document Part O
Overheating in dwellings is a serious concern, particularly in major cities and with the climate becoming warmer. The new Approved Document O addresses the aspect of overheating and introduces two methods to demonstrate compliance.
Join Andy Lowe, Technical and Training Director, from Bureau Veritas on Friday 13 May at 12pm who will be covering key topics including:
• Introduction of the new overheating document
• Details of premises to which it applies
• Explanation of the two methods for compliance outlined in the Approved Document
